Doing Pilates as a senior may help you to both maintain and improve your balance, strength, flexibility, focus, and your breath. Pilates is gentle enough to be right for you at any age.
For many, the most notable changes of aging are a decrease in strength, mobility, and balance and over time these changes can affect your daily activities due to fear of falling or injury, affecting the overall quality of your life. The great news is that a consistent and conscious exercise program can alleviate or improve the typical symptoms of aging. Balance, strength, flexibility, focus, and your breath are all areas you may notice have changed and Pilates at its core works on improving all of those things. It is gentle enough to be right for you at any age, and every exercise can be modified to meet you where your body is that day
Prenatal Pilates is specifically designed to accommodate the needs of the expectant mother during all trimesters. Prenatal Pilates can maintain and improved your posture and core stability. Increase your muscular strength and flexibility as well as improved balance and prevent injuries. Practice restoration of normal movement patterns, enhanced breathing control and increased co-ordination and muscular control – all important in preparing you for the birthing process and recovery thereafter.
Postnatal Pilates can help prevent common postpartum issues, such as lower-back and shoulder tension. The deep breathing we practice in Pilates leads to more energy, mental clarity and patience. Whether you’ve had a vaginal delivery or a C-section, Pilates can help to accelerate the recovery process, making you feel calmer and more connected in the process. The right exercises can also help heal diastasis recti and gently easing you back into your training program.

Our fun 45-minute Kiddies Pilates Program is designed to engage children with interactive play combined with classic Pilates exercises and stretches. Pilates can aid children’s physical and mental development and keep them fit and healthy, its body conditioning that helps to build strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination without adding any muscle bulk. It can also help improve your child’s posture, concentration and self-awareness.
