Body Assessments



Lets prepare to integrate you into a personalised training program.

An hour-long one on one session where we do both a postural assessment, which entails the observation of both a static posture for alignment; how you hold yourself when you are not moving, like when you are sitting, standing, or sleeping, and that body segments are aligned and maintained in fixed positions. As well as observing your dynamic posture, which is usually required to form an efficient basis for movement. Muscles and non-contractile structures have to work to adapt to changing circumstances; how you hold yourself when you are moving, like when you are walking, running, or bending over to pick up something. During this time, we also assess your fitness level, and introduce you to the foundational, building blocks of Pilates, in order to prepare and integrate you into your personalised training program or a group environment.

Is a combination of both The Body Assessment and The Orientation to give you a full well rounded understanding of your body, what training program will give you the best results and what your goals are.  To achieve the true benefit of training, it is vital to lay a solid foundation to economical movement as well as have a good understanding of what your physical needs and goals are. Through completing a postural assessment and setting your personal goals, we are able to identify your mechanical strengths and weaknesses in order to have a complete understanding of your habitual movement patterns.  The orientation sessions can only be seen as an investment into your health and fitness journey.
